INAUGURATION CEREMONY
 
Join the KCCBS family in celebrating the inauguration of our 11th president, Delbert Scott.  The Inauguration Celebration, themed "Open Doors of Opportunity," includes a variety of events throughout the day on Saturday, March 6, 2010.  The Inauguration Ceremony will be held at 2:00 in the afternoon at Cowen Memorial Auditorium.  There is no admission fee to attend the event.  The event will feature Rev. Richard Beckham, Mr. Curtis Biswell, Rev. Ray Crooks, Gospel Heritage Quartet, Dr. I.C. Holland, Mr. Hanuel Kim, Jung Yun Jang, Dr. Burl McClanahan, Rev. Howard Russell, Mr. & Mrs. Harold Scott, Dr. Noel Scott, Rev. Stephen Scott, and Mr. John Dowd & the KCCBS Board ensemble.  Many of our past presidents and their families will be in attendance.  For more information regarding this event, click here.
 
INAUGURATION DINNER
 
President Scott and the KCCBS Board of Directors invite you to participate in the Inauguration Dinner at 6:00 p.m. at the Embassy Suites on the Plaza.  Tickets for this fundraising event are available for $100 each, and must be purchased no later than March 1.  A reception prior to the dinner at 5:00 p.m. will be open to all dinner guests.  To secure your dinner tickets, please contact Elaine Simpson at 913-722-0272.  Rev. Howard Russell and the Gospel Heritage Quartet will be providing some music at the dinner.

Head north on Metcalf Ave; take the Shawnee Mission Parkway East ramp
Follow Shawnee Mission Pkwy East to Ward Parkway; Turn Left
Follow Ward Parkway to JC Nichols Parkway; Turn Left (at light)

Parking Instructions:
Parking will be available in the West Parking Lot for Banquet attendees.  A Parking Lot Attendant will be available to assist you in the parking lot.  Overflow parking will be available in the St. Luke's parking lot behind the hotel.  Handicap parking is available in the parking garage (enter garage to the right of the hotel and take the elevator to the 2nd level.)
 
You may enter the hotel at the West entrance or walk to the front entrance.  You will enter the hotel on the 1st level and the reception and dinner will be held in the ballrooms on the 2nd level which can be accessed by the atrium stairs or the elevator.  Signs will be posted at each entrance.
