Delbert Scott Named New President of KCCBS

Kansas City College and Bible School’s Board of Directors has unanimously approved the appointment of Delbert Scott as the College’s eleventh president, effective immediately. Mr. Scott has served since 2002 as a state senator from the 28th District of Missouri.  Mr. Scott will succeed Dr. Gayle Woods, who is now an Associate Pastor at the Pomona, CA Cornerstone Church of God (Holiness) after serving as president of KCCBS from July 1995 to July 31, 2009.
 
Mr. Scott brings a unique combination of public service, Christian education and business savvy to KCCBS’s executive office. Prior to his service in the Missouri Senate he served for 18 years as a state representative.He has been involved in managing a family-owned small business for the past 34 years.He holds a BS in Education from SouthwestMissouriStateUniversity, and is an alumnus of Kansas CityCollege and BibleSchool.He completed his high school education at Mt.Zion Bible School near Ava, MO. He currently resides in Lowry City, MO, is an active member of the Lowry City Church of God (Holiness), and currently serves on the church’s Board of Deacons.
 
“We are simply delighted that Mr. Scott has decided to come to Kansas CityCollege and BibleSchool to become our next president,” said Rodney Davis, KCCBS Board Chairman. “Delbert will bring all sorts of capability, insight, and drive to take KCCBS into a new decade. Delbert's leadership qualities, his personal interactive relationship capabilities, and his education make him a natural choice to follow the great job that Dr. Gayle Woods has done.”  Mr. Scott brings with him his wife, Donna Kramer Scott.
